Mares
Key Sera Sera - 2009 Chestnut Mare
( Minion Millennium x Fascination Street )
This daughter of Minion Millennium, out of a daughter of Bourbon Steet, is such a happy girl. Though only at the beginning of her training program, "Sera" has an easy going personality and wonderful work ethic.
In training at Lingering Hill Stable, Afton, NY, under the skillful hand of Travis Neidlinger, "Sera" is preparing for her debut in the show arena during the 2011 show season.
Travis says; "Sera loves to perform." We are looking forward to her representing Creekside Morgans as a 2 yr. old driving horse. Keep a sharp eye for the big chestnut who loves to trot, Key Sera Sera, in 2011.
CSD's Bonding Agent - 2009 Bay Mare
( Ultras Special Agent x Clearview LaDonna )
Arriving on the scene early in the morning of March 23,2009, "Mia" is best described as a perfect lady in all she does. Very bright and easily trained, Ms. "Mia" loves all the attention she can garner. This social butterfly considers it her duty to greet every horse in the neighboring paddocks and the barn on her way to her paddock.
She is the product of an excellent cross, bringing together the bloodlines of such Morgan greats as Tug Hill Commando, Tedwin Topic, Trophy, and Eaton's Bandmaster. Her sire, Ultras Special Agent, needs no introduction. And, her dam, Clearview LaDonna enjoyed much success in the show ring both undersaddle and in harness in the Park divison.
CSD's Bonding Agent was proudly exhibited at the 2010 NY Regional Campionship Show, Syracuse NY, by Travis Neidlinger, Lingering Hill Stable, Afton, NY. Tailing for Travis was Mari Neidlinger, manager of LHS. "Mia" responded to Travis' talented hands by taking blues as NY Futurity Yearling Filly, NY Yearling Filly, and Reserve Champion Junior Horse Mare. Not bad for a little girl, who literally came off of the farm only one month prior to showing at Regional. CSD's Bonding Agent ended the 2010 show season as the NYSMHS' High Point Reserve Champion Junior Horse.
Miss Mia is definitely a Travis' girl.
Key Memory - 2005 Chestnut Mare
( HVK Bell Flaire x Nanton's Marcia A )
This lovely young mare started her career off on the right note, winning blues and tricolors in the in-hand division.
Bred to be a top performer, "Dallas" is the daughter of HVK Bell Flaire out of Nanton's Marcia A. The get of HVK Bell Flaire continue to prove their excellence in the show ring, but few can overlook the produce of her dam, a daughter of Tedwin Topic, out of a Trophy mare. Nanton's Marcia A's "kids" brought home a total of twenty Grand National and World Championships to Key Morgans, the breeding farm of Lori and Ron Skover, Avoca, Michigan.
"Dallas" is a maternal half sister to such greats as Key Biscayne, Key West, and Key to the Kingdom, to name but a few. She sports a world champion pedigree both top and bottom.
Key Memory is in training at Lingering Hill Stable, Afton, NY, with Mari and Travis Neidlinger. Known as the "everready bunny," within the barn, "Dallas" is proving to be a candidate for the Competitive Trail and Endurance Riding divisons. She has the abiiity to turn on the legs, and has a motor that can "go all day."
JNP Total Eclipse - 2004 Black Mare
( Simply Maserati x L'Cima My Flaire Lady )
"Zora" is currently in training, preparing for her re-entry to the show arena in 2011. JNP Total Eclipse will be shown in the Hunter Pleasure division, and in the Junior Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure division in 2011. This jet black daughter of Simply Maserati (aka "Spider") out of a daughter of HVK Bell Flaire, is enjoying her return to "working girl" status.
In 2009 "Zora" was moved into the breeding shed to accommodate Creekside Morgans' attaining one of the last contracts let to the public for six time World Champion, CCR's Outrajus Corajus. Sadly, on March 23, 2010, "Zora" gave birth to a perfectly formed, very large, still-born colt.
"Zora" was moved to Lingering Hill Stable, Afton, NY, under the direction of Mari and Travis Neidlinger, in July 2010. She began a conditioning program leading to her planned return to the show world in 2011.
We look forward to Zora's first showing at the NYS Breeder's Show, in May, 2011.
Clearview La Donna - 1988 Chestnut Mare
( Morgana's Marquis x Delight of Morgana )
This descendant of Trophy, Applevale Storm King, Upwey Ben Don, can still wave her tail, set her head, and raise those legs; trotting above level at 20+ years of age.
"LaDonna" enjoyed a very successful career in the show arena both under saddle and in harness with Steve Smith at the reins. She then moved on to a successful career in the breeding shed for Ultra Morgans.
Purchased in foal in 2009, we realized a beautiful filly from her in March of that year. CSD's Bonding Agent, Ms "Mia" is the first foal to carry our prefix and be owned by Creekside Morgans. And, "Mia" appears to have her mother's and father's show attitude.
We eagerly await a full-sibling to CSD's Bonding Agent in May, 2011. Until then, LaDonna loves her routine, eating, and any and all treats. Life is good for LaDonna!
Arnona Cathleen - 1975 Bay Mare
( Bald Mt. Fire Glow x Arnona Chloe L. )
"Cathleen" is the Grand Dam of our herd. She holds the title of the oldest living Morgan in the 2010-2011 NYMHS Members' Directory. "Cathleen" is also one of the few remaining Morgans to carry the prefix of Arnona Farm; Mary and George Arnold's Morgan Farm, located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. "Cathleen" is also one of the few survivors of EPM, having contracted the disease in 2005, when in her thirtieth year.
Though shown only one time, as a four year old, "Cathleen" took the blue in her qualifying class and the Reserve Championship in the Hunter Pleasure Division in a show for warmbloods held in Smithtown, Long Island, NY at Blydenburgh Park. Quite a feat when you consider that few exhibitors at that show had any knowledge of the Morgan horse. Standing a full 15.3 hands, with a rich bay coat, "Cathleen" looked very much like a show horse; turning heads of many in attendance on that warm spring day!
In September, 2010, our very own candidate for "Survivor" came through a sever colic. Down in weight to under 800lbs, her will to live brought her through colic. Now, approaching her 36th birth date, she weighs in at over 1,000 lbs.
Only a true Morgan could overcome the medical issues "Cathleen" has experienced in her lifetime.
